TP Tintypes

I’m not sure if art can change the world. I like to think sometimes that it can, or at least that it can lead to conversations that can. But for better or worse, sometimes art can make money. During the beginnings of the Covid-19 pandemic I was looking for ways to support other artists. We had no idea how long this would last, and still don’t, but being under a stay at home order made it hard to know how to do that. Some items were flying off store shelves, chief among them toilet paper. I made and sold these 8x10 tintypes as a fundraiser for the NC Artist Relief Fund. All toilet paper in the images was subsequently used for, you know, toilet paper things.
